The Hot Flashes “Spring Fever Concert”

Come and celebrate the end of ol' man winter with the Hot Flashes at their “Spring Fever Concert,” 7 pm, Sunday, March 17, at St. Sophia’s Church in rural Stockholm.

This delightfully entertaining musical group is celebrating 5 years of singing together with new music, new instruments, and even a few new members. These “seasoned” ladies of the Hot Flashes bring together a wide variety of musical backgrounds and talents, and never fail to thoroughly wow their devoted fans.
With the enthusiastic musical accompaniment of Director Dave Zahn, the Hot Flashes will share a variety of song selections dating from the early 1930’s up into the 21stt century. They'll do some of their fans' old favorites - “Don’t Say Nuthin’ Bad About My Baby” and “Sentimental Journey” - and as always some brand new numbers including “Minnie the Moocher” and “Midnight Hour.” And just in case you missed the premiere of “Puttin’ on the Ritz” at this year's holiday concert, the Hot Flashes will put on their top hats and gloves once again.
The Flashes rehearse almost weekly at St. Sophia’s Church and as a thank you for the ongoing mission and maintenance of St. Sophia’s, which provides its facilities at no charge to the Hot Flashes for rehearsals and also to other community gatherings, a free-will donation to the church will be collected.

So put on your toe-tapping shoes and help the Hot Flashes welcome spring’s warmth and sunshine back to our chilly neighborhood. And be sure to stick around after the show because these multi-talented ladies are providing refreshments for the crowd!
