It’s past the middle of April and we're still (impatiently) waiting for Spring to arrive, which we've been saying for over a month now. However, we’re not lacking for things to do here in our neighborhood.
Our annual Spring Fever concert March 17 at St. Sophia’s Church was a great success! The church was filled with an enthusiastic crowd and exceeded our expectations. We performed many of our favorite standards, plus we debuted 3 new songs; Minnie the Moocher, Fever, and Midnight Hour, and included our most recent hit, Puttin’ on the Ritz with hats and gloves.
The Hot Flashes provided snacks and refreshments in the basement of the church after the concert which is a tradition we always look forward to. We'd like to thank everyone who attended and the helpers that made this a great event!

In April some of the group took part in the melodrama at the Widespot Performing Arts Center, ‘Love Rides the Rails’ as the ‘Paradise Girls’. They performed two songs; Tavern in the Town and Ta Ra Ra Boom De Eh, complete with dance moves, costumes, and Dave accompanying on piano. Thanks to Director Pam Larson for inviting us to perform!

Coming up this summer, the Hot Flashes will be performing at the Pepin County Fair in Arkansaw, Wisconsin on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 8:00 PM.
